Hikes and Treks in the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello-Presanella Range

From the suspended trails winding beneath the spires of the Brenta Dolomites to the crystal-clear waters of the glacial lakes in the Adamello-Presanella range — trekking here is a journey into the heart of true mountains. It often demands effort, but rewards you with silence, breathtaking views, and lasting memories.

Madonna di Campiglio is the natural starting point for many of these hikes — a privileged gateway to three distinct mountain groups, each with its own unique character and beauty.

The Brenta Dolomites, with their sharp, vertical profiles, offer spectacular routes even without climbing the walls: from the classic trail connecting the Tuckett and Brentei huts, to the ascent to Rifugio Alimonta, or the scenic balconies of Vallesinella with its waterfalls, and the panoramic trails leading to Lago Nambino and Rifugio Ritorto, overlooking the Dolomite peaks.

In the Presanella group, trails wind through forests, peat bogs, and high-altitude lakes. The 5 Lakes hike above Campiglio is a must, as are the paths that climb through Val Nambrone up to Rifugio Segantini, with views of the highest peak in Trentino.

The wild heart of the park lies in the Adamello range, where hikes take you through wide glacial valleys like Val Genova, famous for its waterfalls and the Mandrone huts, or to the stunning San Giuliano Lakes, where granite meets water and silence reigns.

Whether you're looking for a scenic walk or a long, demanding outing, you're in the right place. Every step here brings you deeper into the mountain — truly.
