Vallesinella waterfalls
Level: Beginner
Daily drop: + 250 m
This hike is planned to start from the Val Brenta, still off the beaten tourist paths, offering an authentic and wild atmosphere. Here, among meadows and woods, a breathtaking view opens up on the Crozzon di Brenta, the iconic Dolomite tower that dominates the horizon with its imposing shape.
From the location Prà della Casa, a peaceful clearing with an adjacent refuge, you take the Sentiero della Forra, which follows the course of the stream through narrow gorges and water-smoothed rocks. The trail is easy and well marked, allowing you to immerse yourself in the wild nature.
After about an hour, you reach the area of Malga Brenta Bassa, with its open meadows and a close-up view of the Brenta Dolomites. Shortly after, you arrive at the spectacular Cascate di Mezzo di Vallesinella, where water plunges forcefully between rock walls and green moss. The refuge located right next to the waterfalls is the ideal place for a break.
For the more trained hikers, it is possible to continue to the Cascate Alte di Vallesinella, following a trail that goes deeper into the woods and offers an even more evocative view of the water and the Dolomite cliffs.
For the return, you can close the loop and go back to Prà della Casa in Val Brenta or follow the Sentiero dell’Arciduca, which, through woods and panoramas, leads directly to Madonna di Campiglio.
This hike combines the coolness and power of water with the majesty of the Brenta Dolomites, ideal for those looking for an intense but not demanding experience, away from the crowds and immersed in the truest nature.
An easy, varied, and rewarding route, suitable for everyone.
