Ski Mountaineering Ascent to Camp Antic (Monte Cengledino peak)
A little-frequented but extremely interesting itinerary that unfolds on the southern side of Monte Cengledino, locally known as Camp Antic. A medium-commitment tour, ideal for winter days even when the snowpack is not very stable, with regular slopes. An excellent choice to stay away from the more commercial routes.
The tour starts from Le Sole (1,300 m), a side area of Val di Breguzzo, reachable by car in 15 minutes from Tione di Trento. Skis on, you follow forest roads through spruce woods until you reach Malga Lodranega (1,439 m), then continue through the forest—never too dense—until you emerge into the open pastures leading to Malga Camp Antic.
From here the environment changes: gentle but steady south-facing slopes open up, offering impressive views over the Valle del Chiese. Once on the summit (2,084 m), the panorama spans widely across the Carè Alto, Presanella, and the southern side of the Brenta Dolomites.
Descend along the same route, with enjoyable ski sections especially between Malga Camp Antic and Lodranega. With good snow, these slopes offer a surprisingly smooth and playful descent.
Safety equipment (avalanche beacon, shovel and probe) can be provided by the guide.
Price from €70/person – maximum 6 people per guide.
