Malga Vagliana ski tour
An ideal itinerary for those approaching ski touring, perfect as a first outing: very scenic, approachable, and with the option to descend on the ski slopes. Even without technical difficulties, this tour offers the chance to get familiar with ski touring in an open, panoramic environment at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites, away from the crowds of the ski lifts.
Starting from Madonna di Campiglio or the nearby Campo Carlo Magno Pass, the route climbs through forest and open pastures to reach Malga Vaglianella and then Malga Vagliana, where wide views open towards Cima Vagliana and Pietra Grande peaks.
From here, you can choose between two options: continue towards Rifugio Boch (the mid-station of the Grostè lift area), a shorter and quicker ascent, or — for those who want a bit more — continue through sparse larch trees up to Rifugio Graffer.
The descent can follow the same route as the ascent, with some possible variations, or you can descend along the ski slopes that lead back to the village.
Equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe) can be provided by the guide.
Price: from €80 per person – maximum 6 people per guide.
