Cima Falculotta peak

Cima Falculotta peak

Level: Intermediate

Daily drop: +600 m

The Cima Falculotta peak is a great choice for a short but fulfilling ski tour, immersed in high-altitude views between the Brenta Dolomites and the Presanella range.
The route starts at the top station of the 5 Laghi gondola (2,060 m), already in an open alpine setting. Follow the summer trail (skis on the backpack) leading to Lake Ritorto. Once at the lake, put on your skis and continue up the broad ridge to the summit of Cima Falculotta (2,689 m), which offers a 360° panorama and a privileged view of Presanella’s east face.

The descent follows wide north-facing slopes that often hold well-preserved snow. If conditions allow, it’s possible to ski down from Lake Ritorto to Malga Ritorto and all the way to Madonna di Campiglio.
The tour can also be done without using lifts, turning it into a longer and more rewarding outing.

Not a particularly difficult route, but one that requires stable snow and solid downhill technique, especially off-piste.
