From Madonna di Campiglio to Malga Ritorto: a snowshoes adventure with breathtaking views of the Brenta Dolomites

An easy yet incredibly scenic hike, perfect for experiencing the winter magic of Madonna di Campiglio. The route starts right from the town center and follows a wide, well-trodden path winding through quiet forests and snow-covered clearings, in a peaceful and enchanting atmosphere.

The gentle and steady trail leads in a short time to the Ritorto plateau, known as Pian degli Uccelli — a natural terrace offering some of the most spectacular views of the Brenta Dolomites. This wide alpine meadow, designated as a ZSC (Special Area of Conservation), is an important biotope that supports the reproduction of many species of amphibians and reptiles, as well as characteristic alpine birdlife.

Once at the top, the view opens up to a postcard-perfect panorama: the majestic peaks of the Brenta Dolomites rise against the sky, offering one of the most iconic and photographed vistas in the region.

A well-deserved break awaits at the cozy Malga Ritorto, where you can enjoy a traditional Trentino meal or a warm drink in an authentic and welcoming mountain setting. The return follows the same path, although a slightly longer circular route is also possible, passing through peaceful forest sections just as scenic.
