Snowshoeing tour to Cima Roma peak.
A rewarding and captivating excursion in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites, where breathtaking views and hushed silence create a truly magical atmosphere. The snowshoe hike to Cima Roma is an unmissable experience for those wishing to approach winter mountaineering in a gradual yet authentic way.
The itinerary starts from the top station of the Grostè cable car, near Rifugio Stoppani, already high in altitude and surrounded by a spectacular alpine landscape. From here, with snowshoes on, you cross the vast Grostè plateau, under the imposing north face of Cima Grostè. The panorama gradually opens up, dominated by the striking silhouettes of the Campanile dei Camosci and Cima Falkner.
Following a steady but never too steep ascent, you reach Cima Roma, a natural balcony at over 2.800 meters, offering a sweeping 360-degree view of the surrounding peaks. The effort is fully rewarded by the raw beauty of the landscape and a profound sense of solitude and connection with nature.
The descent follows the same route, with the option to end the excursion with a well-deserved break at Rifugio Stoppani, enjoying a warm drink or a typical local meal with a view of the Dolomites.
This is an ideal snowshoe hike for moderately fit hikers, perfect for those seeking an immersive, peaceful winter experience far from the crowds, and close to the true essence of the mountains.
